Catechism New Academic Year Inauguration 2026-27

The Catechism New Academic Year 2026-27 was formally inaugurated on 27th September 2026 in the presence of students, parents, teachers, and parish members. The inauguration ceremony was led by our Mission Director, Rev. Fr. Dominic Savio, who officially declared the beginning of the new catechetical year.

Fr. Dominic Savio warmly welcomed all the children, especially those who joined the Year 1 Catechism classes, and encouraged them to actively participate in their faith formation journey. In his inspiring inaugural address, he reminded everyone that catechism is not confined to the classroom alone. He emphasized that the true foundation of faith formation begins within the family, where children spend most of their time with their parents, while the catechism classes provide guidance and support during their weekly Sunday gatherings.

Highlighting the vital role of parents as the first teachers of faith, he encouraged families to nurture a prayerful atmosphere at home and to help children grow in Christian values, prayer, and belief. His meaningful message inspired parents, teachers, and students alike to work together in building a strong faith-filled community.

The inauguration ceremony witnessed the enthusiastic participation of all catechism students, parents, and teachers, marking a joyful and blessed beginning to the new academic year. We pray that this catechetical year may be a fruitful period of spiritual growth, learning, and deeper commitment to Christ for all our children and families.

“Train children in the right way, and when old, they will not stray” (Proverbs 22:6)

May God bless all our students, parents, teachers, and catechism coordinators throughout the academic year 2026-27.
